Artist Biography
K.A.L.I. is renowned Australia wide for her powerful hypnotic fusion dance style. Delivering potent
performance transmissions through the Fire Arts, she merges contemporary, exotic, fusion dance with hip
hop and weaponry technique.
Born in Melbourne, Australia in the 80’s, Kali entered the Melbourne Performing Arts scene in early
childhood. Training and performing as a dancer and actor, she studied dance weekends. Emerging into the Performing Arts Industry in
Theatre shows, private dance companies, music and
entertainment industry.
In 2004 Kali toured with Cyndi Lauper and MCFM as a backup dancer, before making the move to
Queensland.
She immersed in training and performance in Fire Arts and Aerial Acrobatics , working
residency gigs as a DJ and Fire Dancer in Byron Bay Buddha Bar and special events such as
Woodford International Folk Festival,
Splendor in the grass,
Exodus Music Festival,
Earth Frequency Festival
and many other events around Sunshine Coast and Northern NSW.
In 2006 Kali moved to Cairns region in Far North Queensland. She launched ‘Creaturesque Entertainment’, enchanting audiences for VIP events at venues such as Salt House,Turtle Cove Beach Resort, The Elandra Resort Mission Beach, just to name a few, and has collaborated with many amazing artists.
You may have seen her Roving Fire Goddess performance at local events Kuranda Roots Festival, Rootbound Music and Lifestyle Gathering, Ecstatic Dance, Cairns Show, Cairns Adrenaline Film Festival and countless other events. In 2023 Kali is a high quality professional Fire Performer and Facilitator of Burn Bright Dance Movement, hosting dance performances, workshops and tuition in Hip Hop, Contemporary, exotic and Fire Arts for all ages. A Master of Fire Arts and Dance technique, you can catch Kali’s flow fire art dance workshops titled ‘DANCECRAFT’, specializing in Flow Fire Arts technique for Staff, Poi, Sword, Dragon staff and Rope dart at local and national events and festivals.
